What you will have an opportunity to do:

DESCRIPTION:

The Dock Attendant is responsible for but not limited to the safe mooring of vessels and general operations of the resort’s dock. Additional responsibilities include:

• Facilitate and assist in coordinating the arrival and departure of vessels and loading of passengers

• Maintain a safe and clean environment

• Act as the initial liaison between passengers and the crews

• Assist in reservations and posting of all charges

What are we looking for?

REQUIREMENTS:

• Line handling skills including, ability to tie bowline, half hitch knots, toss and cleat lines

• Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb and work safely around water and on a ladder

• Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 60 lbs.

• Capacity to work as a member of a team or by oneself to achieve desired results

• Ability to use a PC, radio and hailer

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports and schedules

• Boat handling skills and knowledge of nautical terminology or the ability to learn quickly

• CPR, & First Aid required; Lifeguard training a plus

• Problem solving abilities

• Basic Computer Skills in order to operate Micros, Opera and Open Activity
