  • Oversee configuration, performance, and security of Autosys, Manage Autosys roles, permissions, and access
  • Benchmark Autosys scheduling performance under large workloads
  • Tune parameters for throughput and job success rates, Implement workload balancing across servers
  • Define enterprise standards for job naming, scheduling, and dependencies
  • Provide compliance documentation for audits
  • Maintain runbooks and SOPs for critical operations
  • Provide 24/7 monitoring of batch job executions
  • Track job runtimes, delays, and performance bottlenecks, Detect abnormal or stalled job patterns
  • Configure alerts for job failures or SLA breaches, Escalate incidents to application or infrastructure teams, Automate simple recovery actions such as job restarts
  • Develop dashboards for proactive visibility into job health
  • Apply Autosys patches, fixes, and updates on schedule, Validate configurations after upgrades
  • Conduct performance tuning of Autosys jobs and environments
  • Generate daily/weekly reports on job status, schedules, and dependencies
  • Provide evidence packages for internal/external audits, Track unauthorized changes to job configurations
  • Install and configure Autosys agents on Windows, Linux, and AIX servers
  • Troubleshoot job failures and alerts, coordinate resolution with application teams.
  • Assist in migrating jobs across environments (DEV → QA → PROD).
  • Basic to intermediate hands-on experience with AutoSys Workload Automation
  • Perform daily health checks of Autosys components (Event Server/Scheduler/Agent status), remediate common agent/connectivity issues, and open tickets with platform teams as needed.
  • Coordinate with application, data, and infrastructure teams to schedule new workloads and optimize run times and dependencies.
  • Document and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and support knowledge base; ensure accurate shift handoffs.
  • Track and report operational metrics (job success rates, SLA adherence, incident/expedite counts); contribute to post-incident reviews and problem management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and automation initiatives to reduce manual interventions and false alarms.

  • Operating system knowledge: Linux/Unix command-line, Windows environment (optional)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for log checks and data validation.
  • Experience with scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell) is an advantage.
  • Experience with version control (Git) for JIL/artifacts and peer review processes.
  • Knowledge of data pipeline tools frequently orchestrated by Autosys (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, Python/ETL, SQL scripts).
  • Familiarity with credential vaults (CyberArk), Ansible, or API-based scheduler integrations.
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy; ability to follow runbooks precisely and document outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; sense of urgency and ownership in time-sensitive situations.
  • Clear communication and coordination across shifts and teams; effective escalation and status reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent incidents/changes in a 24x7 environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; eagerness to learn platform and scheduling best practices.

Work Environment and Schedule

  • 24x7 operations coverage with shift or on-call rotation; occasional nights/weekends/holidays, especially during cutovers and period-end cycles.
  • Hybrid or on-site NOC/operations setting; coordination with global teams.
  • Adherence to security, compliance, and change management policies.
