About the role:

PwC Consulting is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Enterprise Operations Transformation efforts in the London Insurance Market. This role focuses on strategic claims management and driving large-scale operational changes.

Enterprise Operations Transformation consulting, which has grown significantly and has been identified as a critical ‘Go To Market’ proposition for future growth in PwC Consulting. We are looking for candidates who have a strong consulting skillset, with experience in transforming operations within the Insurance industry. 

We have established a vision for our Enterprise Operations Transformation practise to be a market leader and we will deliver on that through winning and executing iconic projects and delivering industry specific solutions in: cost transformation and process excellence, productivity and capacity creation in people, process & technology, intelligent operations (automation, workflow orchestration, advanced analytics and GenAI), as well as accelerated digital process transformation. 

Position Overview

Operations Transformation, Insurance (Claims and/or Underwriting Focus)

Sector: Insurance, with a specialisation in Claims and/or Underwriting within the London Market

Focus: Leading transformation projects, enhancing claims and/or underwriting operations, and modernising processes.

What your days will look like:

  • Oversee large-scale claims and/or underwriting transformation programs from strategy through execution.

  • Define best practice frameworks for claims and/or underwriting operating models and product governance.

  • Cultivate and manage senior client relationships across claims and/or underwriting, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Drive business development by developing proposals and identifying new opportunities in claims and/or underwriting.

  • Support recruitment, training, and development of methodologies with a focus on claims handling and/or underwriting.

  • Contribute to industry thought leadership and enhance consulting methodologies.

  • Mentor junior team members and lead recruitment efforts to build a strong consulting team.

This role is for you if:

  • You have extensive experience in operational transformation within the insurance sector, with deep expertise in claims and/or underwriting.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Insurance systems and processes.

  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale operating model or technology implementations.

  • Established network within the London Market and a reputation for thought leadership in underwriting or claims management

  • Strong commercial acumen, business development skills, and existing network within the insurance market
