In technology strategy at PwC, you will specialise in developing and implementing strategic plans to leverage technology for business growth and innovation. You will analyse market trends, assess organisational needs, and provide guidance on technology investments and initiatives. Working in this area, you will collaborate with stakeholders to align technology strategies with overall business objectives to increase utilisation of technology resources, driving competitive advantage.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of 

As a Finance Technology, Senior Associateyou’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Developing transformative strategies to help clients navigate through digital disruption and reimagine their business for tomorrow 

  • Supporting the delivery of business led technology enabled transformation programs that places the users at the center, using agile design, development and implementation methodologies 

  • Leading and contributing to discussions with technology and business decision makers 

  • Ability to help others think critically and share complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences both orally and in writing 

  • Collaborating and contributing both as a team member and as a team leader, including providing coaching, feedback and guidance on work performance 

  • Prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, including researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry, and technical matters and utilizing problem-solving skills 

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, either from consulting & professional services or in an industry role 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical background or business (computer science is ideal). MBA would be an advantage 

  • Strong communication, presentation and writing skills 

  • Understanding around the end-to-end value chain of IT applications and infrastructure, including relevant cloud solution offerings e.g. SaaS, IaaS and PaaS 

  • Experience advising on or developing product roadmaps, blueprints and implementation roadmaps that align technology investments with critical business priorities. 

  • Experience conducting maturity or needs assessments, identifying and prioritizing opportunities / projects, developing roadmaps and estimates, and building consensus 

  • Experience advising on and/or developing technology and IT operating models, including governance models and processes 

  • Knowledge of architecture, design and development of enterprise technology solutions, including information management, infrastructure and applications 

  • An understanding of agile software development and implementation processes and tools 

  • Scrum Master (and other agile certifications), PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, and other related technology certifications would be an asset

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.  We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
