About this role

Join the Ethics & Compliance Office as a Manager supporting risk management, compliance, and CPA regulatory requirements. You’ll help protect the PwC brand and ensure adherence to internal and external controls.

As a Manager, you will play a key role in advancing the firm’s risk management and compliance efforts. You’ll contribute to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives, support insider risk investigations, and drive process improvements for DLP and Training Integrity programs. You will also manage national CPA practical experience reporting, deliver training for CPA students and mentors, and ensure regulatory compliance across the organization. Your work will help safeguard sensitive data, uphold professional standards, and support the continuous improvement of firm policies and procedures.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of 

As an  Ethics and Compliance Manager (Insider Risk and CPA CoE) , you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Contribute to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives by supporting strategy implementation and monitoring sensitive data activity 

  • Assist in investigating insider risk incidents, facilitating remediation, and preparing thorough case documentation 

  • Support Ethics investigations, which includes conducting interviews, report writing and evidence collection 

  • Partner with IT and security teams to operationalize DLP tools and ensure effective integration 

  • Oversee controls testing, internal audits, and process improvements for DLP and Training Integrity programs 

  • Manage national CPA practical experience reporting, fulfilling the CPA Pre-approved Program manager and leader responsibilities 

  • Design and deliver onboarding and workshop training for CPA students and mentors 

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare reports for provincial bodies and key stakeholders 

  • Track and evaluate changes in CPA regulations and bylaws, assessing their impact on firm policies and procedures 

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 

  • Canadian CPA designation with experience in a professional services role  

  • Experience leading teams and managing functional practice areas 

  • Deep understanding of insider risk frameworks, data security principles, and regulatory requirements 

  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and propose actionable solutions 

  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, security systems, and automation technologies 

  • Builds strong relationships across teams and fosters trust and transparency 

  • Approaches challenges creatively and with a solutions-oriented mindset 

  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects with tight deadlines 

  • Effectively conveys information to stakeholders and drives alignment on risk strategies 

  • This is an 18-month full-time contract opportunity 

  • This role doesn’t support completion of the Canadian CPA designation

The salary range for this position is $81,900 - $131,900. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.  We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
