Description

Heartline Staffing, strategic talent partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Emergency Services to provide executive leadership for a large, high-volume emergency services network in the Kingwood/Houston, Texas area.


The Vice President of Emergency Services is responsible for strategic planning, operational performance, and service line growth across adult emergency services, pediatric emergency services, and multiple freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs). This role partners closely with clinical and executive leadership to drive quality outcomes, patient experience, operational efficiency, and staff engagement.


The VP fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence while aligning emergency services strategy with organizational goals and community needs.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide executive oversight for Adult ED, Pediatric ED, and FSED operations
  • Lead strategic planning and business development for Emergency Services
  • Drive performance across throughput, LOS, patient experience, and quality metrics
  • Partner with Directors and senior leadership to implement service line initiatives
  • Ensure regulatory, accreditation, and safety compliance
  • Support physician alignment, staff development, and leadership succession planning

CompensationSalary Range:

Midpoint: $178,713

Maximum: $214,448


Annual Incentive Bonus:

17.5% Director bonus with up to 150% upside based on performance

Requirements

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree required

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

- Master’s degree or approved equivalent education plan required


Licensure & Certification:

- Active RN license or compact RN license eligible for Texas

- Basic Life Support (BLS) required


Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of recent Director-level Emergency Services experience

- Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers required

- Experience managing Emergency Departments with 80,000+ annual visits

- Executive oversight of multi-site ED operations, including FSEDs
