Heartline Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Step Down unit supporting adult medical patients requiring closer monitoring and higher-acuity nursing care. This role provides the opportunity to care for complex medical patients while working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team focused on safety, quality outcomes, and compassionate care.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering individualized patient care using the nursing process. Duties include performing age-appropriate assessments, developing and revising interdisciplinary plans of care, administering treatments and medications, and documenting care accurately within electronic medical record systems. Nurses utilize critical thinking, delegation, and communication skills to ensure effective patient-centered care.
Schedule:
Day shift
Every other weekend with rotating holidays
Compensation:
Hourly pay ranges from $30.47 to $45.71 based on experience.
Sign-on bonus available up to $30,000 for experienced RNs or up to $20,000 for other qualified RN candidates.
Requirements
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or approved nursing program eligible for Virginia licensure
Licensure and Certification:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain Virginia licensure
- CPR certification required
- Ability to obtain ACLS, PALS, or NRP certifications as required
Other Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency required for electronic medical record documentation
- Successful completion of orientation and competency requirements
- Ability to meet essential job functions
