The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures to support accurate radiologic diagnosis for patients of all ages. This role requires a reassuring patient approach, strong technical skills, and the ability to operate highly specialized imaging equipment in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The MRI Technologist applies knowledge of growth and development to deliver safe, age-appropriate care, evaluates and positions patients with professionalism and attention to safety, and performs IV contrast injections as required. Additional responsibilities include patient processing, documentation, maintaining appropriate registry requirements, and participating in training and educational activities. This position requires the ability to work effectively under stressful conditions and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Schedule:
Evening shift position.
Compensation:
Hourly compensation ranges from $33.52 to $50.28 based on experience.
Requirements
Education:
- High school graduate or GED
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
Experience:
- MRI experience preferred but not required
Licensure and Certification:
- ARRT registration in MRI or registration in an imaging profession through ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS
- Ability to complete MRI advanced certification within one year of hire if not already certified
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification required
Other Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and technical skills
- Flexibility in assignments and scheduling
