Clinical Educator – Critical Care (Non-Sales)
Location
Base city: Cincinnati, OH or Indianapolis, IN
Territory covered: Ohio and Indiana
Travel requirement: Approximately 60%
Overview
We are seeking an experienced ICU / CCU / ER Registered Nurse to join a growing medical device organization as a Clinical Educator. This is a non-sales, field-based role supporting hospital customers and partnering closely with a regional sales team. The Clinical Educator will serve as a clinical expert for critical care disposable products, providing education, in-services, and on-site support across hospitals in Ohio and Indiana.
This role is ideal for a take-charge nurse who enjoys education, collaboration, and being in the field.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical education and in-service training on critical care disposable products
• Support and collaborate with three regional sales representatives (non-selling role)
• Deliver product training to ICU, CCU, and ER clinical staff within hospital settings
• Act as a clinical resource during product evaluations, conversions, and implementations
• Build strong relationships with nurses, educators, and hospital leadership
• Travel extensively within the assigned territory to support customers and sales partners
• Maintain clinical credibility and stay current on critical care best practices
Required Qualifications (Must Haves)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required
• ICU, CCU, or Emergency Department clinical experience- 5+ years
• Experience working in hospital environments
• Ability and willingness to travel 50–65% within the territory
Knockout Criteria
• No BSN
• No / low ICU, CCU, or ER experience
Compensation
• Base salary: $110,000 – $115,000
• Total compensation at plan: approximately $120,000
