THE ROLE
Fleet Reliability Engineering owns the reliability of our world wide customer fleet. A hundred thousand world-wide systems depend on you!
As a Forensics Software Engineer, you own the solutions for complex customer issues. Architecting innovative software and AI solutions to analyze and predict the health of global customer systems. You get new technical challenges every week as we have endless puzzles for you to solve! You develop services for real-time predictive analysis of system behavior, and build software to proactively protect our customers. You get to work with and know engineering teams all across Pure as you work to resolve our customer’s problems. This is a fast-track to gain a broad understanding of our codebase, build your peer network, and develop skills for future growth at Pure.
This is an incredible opportunity for SRE-minded software engineers to dive deep into challenging problems, build impactful solutions, and shape the future of distributed systems reliability.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Leading investigations and engineering solutions for emergent issues.
- Acquiring a broad and deep understanding of Pure Storage's full software stack.
- Developing services and AI tools to diagnose and protect our growing fleet.
- Designing next generation analytics to monitor our fleet’s health and anticipate new problems.
- Representing our customers when presenting complex product issues & developing solutions with engineering peers.
- Representing Pure Storage Engineering in interactions with customers to enable million dollar deals.
- Participating in our on-call rotation to rapidly respond to customer outages world-wide and improve Pure Storage’s world-class uptime.
WHAT YOU BRING
You already have a solid background in software development along with experience with linux, system administration, networking, and storage. A history of learning new technology on the job indicates a strong fit for this role. In addition, you may bring some of the following:
- Natural curiosity, obsessive attention to detail and innate troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and describe in simple terms.
- SRE experience with large production environments.
- Ability to speak and write without offending unless intended
- 8-12+ years relevant work experience
- We speak Go, Java, Python, C++, and linux. What are your languages?
