We’re looking for a permanent, full-time Business Analyst to join our IT team based in the 8330 Chester st. office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Vice President of IT. 

Job Overview: The Business Analyst supports the IT organization by analyzing business processes, documenting system requirements, and contributing to the delivery of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency. This role focuses on analysis, configuration, validation, and integration activities across enterprise applications.  

The Business Analyst works collaboratively with business stakeholders, developers, and external vendors to clarify requirements, evaluate solution options, support testing, and ensure solutions are implemented effectively. As an intermediate-level contributor, this role is expected to demonstrate solid analytical skills, strong business-system understanding, and the ability to work independently on moderately complex initiatives while escalating risks or complex issues appropriately.  

You will have the opportunity to work on: 

Solution Identification & Analysis  

  • Analyze current-state processes through interviews, research, and process reviews to identify system and workflow improvement opportunities and define future-state requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts, architects, and stakeholders to align on solution direction and contribute to business cases by outlining benefits, risks, and success criteria. 

Documentation & Requirements Management  

  • Produce and maintain clear, accessible documentation (business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and workflow diagrams) and translate business objectives into system requirements for technical teams.   Solution Delivery & Support

Solution Delivery & Support  

  • Evaluate solutions for feasibility, business fit, and integration impact, and support configuration, testing, and validation, including test case development and hands-on testing.
  • Collaborate with users during UAT to document, track, and resolve issues, and support deployment and post-launch stabilization.
  • Analyze integrations, perform data mapping, support API troubleshooting, and maintain related integration and troubleshooting documentation.  

You will be a good fit if you have: 

  • A university degree in computer science, business administration, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).  
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst in an enterprise environment. 
  • Exposure to systems such as ERP, WMS, POS, production, or eCommerce solutions. Experience with INFOR CSI/Syteline or similar ERP systems is an asset. 
  • Familiarity with agile or hybrid development methodologies. 
  • Working knowledge of SaaS platforms and vendor-supported solutions. 
  • The ability to gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional system specifications. 
  • Experience contributing to end-to-end validation, including test planning and execution.  
 

 Preference is given to those who have: 

  • Exposure to test automation tools or API management platforms.
  • Experience reading SQL queries or stored procedures for analysis and writing simple validation queries. 
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with BI, reporting, or analytics tools. 
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and system integrations, middleware, or enterprise integration frameworks (e.g., AWS / Azure / ION / Boomi / etc.).
