About this role

Pulse are looking for registered highly motivated and talented Band 5 & 6 NICU Nurses in the East London area.

We’re here to help NICU Nurses like you, navigate difficult situations and provide support through tough times, so you can focus on the job you love doing. 


Get the freedom to work how you want, when you want with our flexible shifts available from Monday through to Sunday. With Pulse you can plan ahead with our block bookings, available to book up to 3 months in advance.


We are offering a variety of shift patterns, including the option of full-time equivalent hours, in the East London area paying between £20.89 - £34.78 per hour.


 


Registered NICU Nurse Responsibilities:



  • Attending births and providing care for infants directly after birth.

  • Evaluating and overseeing the care of infants in the NICU.

  • Monitoring the health of infants suffering from medical issues relating to birth, such as prematurity or congenital defects.

  • Performing tests and obtaining and evaluating the results.

  • Providing treatment and administering medication as proscribed by the NICU physician.

  • Running and maintaining the equipment in the NICU.

  • Formulate nursing plans and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments

  • Comfort sick new-borns and anxious parents and family members

  • Offer support to parents and educate them on the at-home care of their new-born


 


To be considered for this role you will need to have:



  • Valid NMC registration

  • At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the Scrub Sector

  • Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment.

  • Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one.

  • Right to work within the UK - proof will be required.
