About this role

[What the role is]

The trainee will assist in solar forecasting project, energy storage test bedding and process automation works within the Department

[What you will be working on]

Key Responsibilities:

(1) The trainee will assist in solar forecasting project to analyse the accuracy of the solar forecast generated half hourly by comparing daily profile and report abnormalities of the data as well as working on energy storage test bedding.

(2) The trainee will also assist in helping to automate the following processes relating to operations and daily BAU work, which will help to increase work efficiency.

(a) Streamline information extraction and data analysis processes from Operational Technology (OT) systems.

(b) Automate checking of information and data submitted by Licensees for database and display construction.

(c) Ingest NWP and satellite images from meteorological weather station, including writing codes to convert files into accurate format into the solar forecasting model, to improve the accuracy of the solar forecast generated.

Degree in Engineering, Diploma in Computing
