[What you will be working on]
The Government Technology Office - Software Engineering Practice is responsible for establishing standards, driving engineering excellence, and spearheading continuous innovation in the software engineering practice in GovTech and WOG.
As stewards of technology leadership, we guide the adoption of new, proven, and innovative methodologies and technologies to enhance productivity and foster continuous improvement.
You will be exploring and accelerating the adoption of AI in software development
- Explore and Prototype AI-Powered Software Development Tools
- Research and experiment with AI-driven development, from code generation and refactoring to AI-assisted debugging and testing
- Evaluate how LLMs, reinforcement learning, and other AI techniques can improve developer efficiency, software quality, and security.
Reimagine Software Engineering with AI
- Rethink how AI can change traditional development workflows, from design and coding to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Study emerging AI trends in software engineering and distill key insights for adoption.
Enhance Software Quality and Testing with AI
- Research how AI can improve automated testing, quality assurance, and code reviews
- Work on AI-powered test generation and intelligent debugging solutions.
Drive AI Adoption for Software Engineers
- Work with teams across GovTech to integrate AI capabilities into engineering workflows.
- Measure the impact of AI tools on engineering efficiency and drive improvement.
[What we are looking for]
We are looking for a forward-thinking engineer with a passion for exploring AI’s role in software development and a drive to transform how engineers build software.-
Passionate About AI & Software Engineering
- Strong interest in AI-driven development.
- Stay updated on AI trends like LLMs, AI coding assistants, and automated testing.
Proven Software Development Experience
- Experience writing high-quality software and working across the stack.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD, cloud, DevOps, and software testing.
AI & Machine Learning Foundations
- Interest or experience in applying AI to software engineering.
- Familiarity with LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, or AI-powered automation is a plus.
Curious and Experimental Mindset
- Eager to research, prototype, and iterate on AI-driven solutions.
- Comfortable working in an exploratory, ambiguous space.
- Strong at aligning teams and advocating AI-assisted development
- Enjoys sharing knowledge and driving adoption
