[What the role is]
The successful applicant will be part of the Container Platform team under the Platform Architecture and Engineering (PAE).[What you will be working on]
Manage day-to-day operations of Container Platform administration for business-critical systems, including cluster deployment, patching, configuration, migration, version upgrades, and vulnerability mitigation.
Handle cluster capacity management and provisioning through automation of underlying hosts.
Provide L2, and L3 operational and engineering support, including prompt incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution.
Create and maintain system documentation, playbooks, and configuration records for the Container platform.
Lead platform changes through the change request process and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
Monitor agreed service levels and implement service continuity measures, including backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery planning to ensure continuous business operations.
Mentor less experienced internal staff and vendor personnel on procedural matters.
[What we are looking for]
At least 3 to 15 years’ experience in managing container platform specifically OpenShift.
Experience in administration of different flavours of container platform like AKS, EKS etc..
Knowledge of administrating Linux / Windows Operating systesm.
Experience in deploayment of Openshift cluster on on-premises and in Cloud – AWS.
Have experience in creating ansible playbooks would be a added advantage.
Have experience working in a enterprise team who manages multiple OpenShift or Kubernetes clusters would be a added advantage.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) for automation is good to have.
Must have experience to implement and maintain Openshift compliance against CIS or other compliance frameworks.
Must be organized, independent, flexible to work on different projects in a rapidly changing environment
Team player with the ability to work fast and meet short-term deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels with demonstrated ability to influence different stakeholders
