[What the role is]
The District OOM Associate plays a pivotal role in driving the Community Religious Life (CRL) agenda within the District. The role empowers, facilitates, and supports Mosque Religious Officers (MROs) in delivering meaningful and impactful religious content and services. Working closely with mosques, OMS HQ, and the Office of the Mufti, the District OOM Associate provides religious advisory support, coordinates District-wide programmes, and strengthens collaboration across stakeholders to ensure coherence and synergy in the development of a vibrant religious life for the community.[What you will be working on]
Strategic Planning & Alignment
Facilitate the implementation of OOM's policies with clusters and Mosque Religious Officers (MROs), including but not limited to Irsyad, fatwa, and CRL initiatives
Support the strategizing and setting of the Community Religious Life agenda for the District, in collaboration with mosques, OOM, and CLM, ensuring alignment with OMS and MUIS’ 3-year plan
Deliver and lead in key message delivery at lead mosques to the community in tandem with OOM and CLM
Religious Advisory Role
Serve as OOM representative for religious matters within the District and mosques
Provide guidance to Mosque Religious Officers (MROs) and facilitate their engagement in consultation with OMS HQ and OOM
Programme Coordination
Plan and coordinate collaborative District-level Islamic learning programmes and initiatives
Capacity Building & Competency Development
Lead the upskilling and competency development of MROs to ensure the delivery of effective and impactful religious content
Perform mentoring and coaching role to younger MROs in the district as and when requested
[What we are looking for]
Tertiary educations with at least 8 years relevant experience in MUIS/MUIS-vested entities or mosques or other Islamic institutions
Must currently hold ARS – Tier 1 certification
Experience in programme planning, religious advisory, or community engagement
Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and mentoring skills
Independent worker and able to work under pressure
