Overview:

Global Accounting Operations (GAO) is responsible for the general ledger accounting of PTC. Here, all financial information is coming together from various sources and compiled for the internal and external financial reporting. Our goal us to deliver value-add world class services to our customers in a global dynamic ecosystem.

As a member of PTC’s accounting team in Bucharest you will be responsible for the General Ledger, group reporting and other daily processing functions. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and is based in Bucharest.   

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain the General Ledger of two or more PTC’s European entities (banks, payroll, fixed assets, prepaid accounts, accruals, reconciliations etc.) 
  • Preparation of the monthly/quarterly reporting to our headquarters in the US according to US-GAAP rules
  • Support for local required tax declarations (e.g. VAT)  
  • Preparation of weekly cash forecasts
  • Support audits and preparation of annual statutory financial statements
  • Work with cross-functional teams on global finance initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies including Sarbanes Oxley regulations and other internal controls
  • Adhere to PTC’s policies and procedures as well as statutory regulations

Skills and Knowledge:

  • High Level knowledge in international accounting principles and taxes; 
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical approach; 
  • Experience in financial systems and office solutions, preferably Oracle and Microsoft Office
  • Fluent English (German or French skills would be a plus)
  • Open minded, flexible, proactive & interactive attitude

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of relevant; accounting or public accounting experience
  • Experience in financial systems and office solutions, preferably Oracle and Microsoft Office;

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or related field required, Bachelor’s level preferred
