Logistics Clerk
PSC Group is seeking a Logistics Representative to join our team at a petrochemical plant in Pittsburg, CA. The Logistics Clerk is responsible for preparing shipping paperwork, assisting drivers, monitoring and recording daily outgoing truck shipments. This position is responsible for truck order processing and coordination of order pick-up schedules with carriers under minimal supervision. This position is fully on-site as it requires direct interaction with drivers and providing assistance with data entry and printing paperwork. Job Qualifications:
• Experience using SAP preferred
• Ability to multi-task, such as answering multiple phone calls while entering computer data
• People skills, including patience to deal with customers, employees, and co-workers
• Exceptional customer service with both internal and external customers (ability to maintain professional and working relationship with customers and employees)
• Exceptional communication skills, such as the ability to effectively communicate information to relief clerk at shift turnover
• Computer literacy, including the ability to learn the computer database and understand how to receive, enter, and dispatch job orders using the database
• May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
• Speak, write, read fluent English
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
• Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
