Doel van de functie

De Production Engineer is verantwoordelijk voor het analyseren, verbeteren en optimaliseren van productieprocessen binnen de fabriek. Het doel is het verhogen van kwaliteit, veiligheid, flexibiliteit en betrouwbaarheid van de productie, door het initiëren en implementeren van verbeterprojecten en het ondersteunen van operationele teams. Kernverantwoordelijkheden

Veiligheid en compliance

  • Zorgen voor naleving van veiligheids- en kwaliteitsrichtlijnen.

  • Implementeren van verbeteringen om risico’s te minimaliseren.

Procesanalyse en optimalisatie

  • Analyseren van productieprocessen en identificeren van bottlenecks.

  • Ontwikkelen en implementeren van oplossingen om capaciteit en flow te verbeteren.

  • Uitvoeren van OEE-analyses en vertalen van data naar concrete verbeteracties.

Verbeterprojecten

  • Initiëren, leiden en monitoren van projecten gericht op productiviteit, kwaliteit, veiligheid en flexibiliteit.

  • Toepassen van Lean, Six Sigma en Kaizen-methodieken.

  • Samenwerken met Continuous Improvement Coördinator om verbeterinitiatieven te versterken

Data en rapportage

  • Ontwikkelen van rapportages en uitvoeren van berekeningen voor capaciteit en resource planning.

  • Monitoren van KPI’s en signaleren van afwijkingen; voorstellen doen voor correctieve maatregelen.

Operationele ondersteuning

  • Fungeren als back-up voor de Production Manager bij dagelijkse operationele aansturing.

  • Intensieve samenwerking met Shiftleaders en Operators om verbeteringen effectief door te voeren

Kennis en vaardigheden

Opleiding: HBO- of WO-niveau.

Technische kennis:

  • Ervaring met Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma en verbeterprojecten.

  • Ervaring in een productieomgeving.

  • Goede kennis van MS OƯice en ERP-systemen (SAP is een pré).

  • Talen: Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels.

Job Description: Production Engineer
Purpose of the Role
The Production Engineer is responsible for analyzing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes within the plant. The goal is to enhance quality, safety, flexibility, and reliability of production by initiating and implementing improvement projects and supporting operational teams. This position requires a hands-on approach, significant presence on the shop floor, and strong analytical skills.

Position in the Organization
Reports to: Production Manager and acts as substitute for: Production Manager during absence. Collaborates with: Shift Leaders, Operators, Logistics, Process Engineering, Finance, Technical Department, Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Implement improvements to minimize risks.

  • Process Analysis and Optimization

  • Analyze production processes and identify bottlenecks.

  • Develop and implement solutions to improve capacity and workflow.

  • Perform OEE analyses and translate data into actionable improvements.

Improvement Projects

  • Initiate, lead, and monitor projects focused on productivity, quality, safety, and flexibility.

  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.

  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Coordinator to strengthen improvement initiatives.

Data and Reporting

  • Develop reports and perform calculations for capacity and resource planning.

  • Monitor KPIs and identify deviations; propose corrective measures.

Operational Support

  • Act as back-up for the Production Manager in daily operational management.

  • Work closely with Shift Leaders and Operators to ensure effective implementation of improvements
