Team Overview and Job responsibilities

We are looking for the Continuous Improvement Engineer to our operations Team in Emmen factory,

In this role, you will work closely with the operations team, operational leaders and the continuous improvement team in the region to understand and improve our business. Development projects to improve material, resource and scrap efficiencies are an important part of work as well as leading Lean projects (e.g. Six Sigma, SMED, KAIZEN). Other areas could be to increase capacity by debottlenecking the flows, analyze OEE data and take actions. The work includes for example developing reporting and analyzing industrial figures and calculations of capacity and resource requirements. You have also a responsibility to develop and carry out continuous improvement training for all employees in support of Lean initiatives and improve 6S approach in the plant.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate, who has:

  • Higher education in engineering or relevant area

  • Previous experience from similar tasks

  • Good verbal and written communication in Dutch and English

  • Leadership and communication skills to create, develop and drive a teamwork and communicate with all levels in the organization

  • Proactive approach and drive to get results

  • Creative mindset and innovative approach to find best solutions to improve our business and productivity

  • Experience on working with LEAN tools

  • Good IT skills
