About this role

In this position, as Medium IT Metals Business Analyst in our Slatina Center of Excellence (CoE), you will play a significant part within the global IT Delivery Application team, reporting to the Global Applications Team Leader for the Strategic Metals Area.

Your primary responsibility will be to support and enhance the digital systems and tools utilised by the supply chain community, with a specific emphasis on SAP projects. You will closely collaborate with colleagues in IT cross areas and business users within Strategic Metals Function, ensuring that digital initiatives are aligned with the company’s broader objectives in innovation, troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and guarantee system reliability while supporting business processes and future enhancements.

Your daily work will involve maintaining and supporting the SAP platform, helping develop and deploy new tools such as AI solutions and advanced systems, and ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the SAP environment.

You will have following main responsibilities:

AMS (Application Management Services) and Projects Delivery:

  • be accountable for the delivery of AMS and project activities, primarily focusing on SAP systems but also extending support to other central systems in the Strategic Metals domain.
  • this includes managing resources, timelines, and ensuring successful project completion.

SAP Kernel and Cross-Interface Governance:

  • have governance responsibilities for the SAP Kernel and cross-interfaces with other central systems and solutions.
  • Collaboration with Local IT, respective IT Business Partners and HQ Business Team Leaders is necessary to ensure effective management and governance in Strategic Metals functional area.

Roll-outs and Implementation Projects:

  • During roll-outs and implementation projects, provide support for Fit-gap preparation and execution.
  • contribute to the design of new functionalities, oversee data migration activities, participate in testing, training, and provide post go-live support.

Documentation and Process Maintenance:

  • be accountable for creating and maintaining documentation related to new technical solutions, including manuals for end users and Kernel processes.

What are the key challenges for this role:

  • Integration with Other SAP Modules (MM, SD, FI-CO): Ensure seamless integration and consistent data flow between SAP NF Metals and core modules for procurement, sales, and finance.
  • Balancing Business Requirements and System Constraints: Translate business needs into SAP standard solutions, proposing configurations, workarounds, or customizations within the SAP framework.
  • Managing Stakeholder Expectations: Collaborate with various functions (purchasing, commercial, controlling) that often have conflicting priorities, maintaining a balance between operational needs and system stability.
  • Change Management and Adoption of Innovative Solutions (AI, Advanced Tools): Support the introduction of new technologies and tools by managing resistance to change, delivering user training, and ensuring a smooth transition.
