About this role

Position in the Structure
The role reports to the Senior Quality Manager Electrification - Europe, supporting also the Quality Manager of Iberia. The role also reports to the Iberia HSE Manager, on safety and environmental matters.

Personnel Area

• Ensure that all levels of the Department are trained in their duties and that each element maintains maximum efficiency.

Financial Area

• Ensure the analysis and control of the Department's costs.

Integrated Quality, Environment and Safety System

• Keep the management manual and procedures common to the 3 management systems under continuous review.

• Ensure Quality Procedures and rules are followed in line with region and Group rules.

1 – Quality Management System

  • Planning, organization and management of the Quality Function in all sectors of the Company.
  • Represent the Company externally.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Final Testing and Materials Laboratories.
  • Certify the conformity of all products.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the Quality System and Product certifications obtained by the company.                                                                                                  
  • Collaborate in the certification processes that the Company decides to launch.
  • Establish, in connection with the Production Departments, intervention routines in terms of product quality control.                        
  • Establish links with other Departments or Directorates when there are new technical designs or changes to existing ones with the purpose of introducing new Quality Plans if necessary                                                                                     
  • Identify any areas where difficulties occur in maintaining control of production processes.                                                                                         
  • Maintain under continuous review the inspection approval procedures and the adequate identification and separation of semi-
  • processed and finished materials to be released in accordance with those procedures.                                                                 
  • Ensure that all inspection and testing equipment is adequate and regularly calibrated. 
  • Monitor any quality improvement projects. 
  • Ensure the definition and processing of the information required to measure the efficiency of the manufacturing unit, with 
  • regard to quality indicators
  • Prepare reports and statistical analyzes of quality variables
  • Ensure the analysis of the costs of non-quality and the maintenance of the corresponding information collection system
  • Investigate and report quality-related customer complaints. 
  • Stimulate awareness of Quality in all sectors of the Company.

2- Occupational Health, Hygiene and Safety Management System

  • Control the application of Occupational Safety, Hygiene and Health provisions contained in internal procedures in the Quality department
  • Ensure that Quality Department workers have at their disposal the appropriate means to preserve their safety and health, as well as whether they are kept in good conditions of use and cleanliness.
  • Provide training and/or training for Quality Department workers who require it.
  • Keep equipment protection means operational and ensure that methods and procedures for safe work in the Quality Department are being followed.
  • Ensure the permanent availability of exits, corridors, etc., in your sector, in the event of evacuation of the facilities or in the event of a serious accident in the Quality Department.
  • Immediately inform your superior of any accident or serious occurrence in the Quality Department, as well as take the necessary measures within your power.
  • Comply with the procedures established regarding work accidents and prepare the respective report in accordance with the respective internal regulations.
  • Provide and ensure that no worker is called upon to perform tasks other than their usual ones, without having received training or the appropriate safety instructions.
  • Carry out, with your subordinates, and whenever possible, through example, training and awareness-raising activities, as well as drawing attention to any negligent behaviors and correcting them.
  • Consult, whenever necessary, the advice and support of the Occupational Safety and Hygiene Technician and the Occupational Doctor.
  • Critically observe all work equipment (mechanical, electrical or other) and, in case of potential or real risk, act preventively, requesting, if necessary, the collaboration of the Occupational Safety and Hygiene Technician and your superior.
  • Ensure that only duly authorized workers drive Forklifts, Overhead Cranes or any other similar equipment, under the terms set out in the respective regulations
  • Communicate all risk situations.
  • Prepare, together with the “Safety and Environment Technician”, the management reviews of the three systems (Quality, Environment and Safety)
