The Pensions Secretary and Governance Officer supports the Board of Trustees by organising meetings, preparing minutes and board packs, coordinating trustee logistics, managing action items, and ensuring smooth communication between the Board and Fund Administration. The role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, proactive problem‑solving, and the ability to uphold governance standards while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all board‑related processes.
Principle Accountabilities:
Secretariat
Organize Fund Administration Board of Trustees quarterly meetings.
Drafting and Preparation of Meeting Minutes.
Preparation and distribution of board meeting packs, action logs and trackers.
Link between Fund Administration and the Board of Trustees.
Ensure that Trustees meeting logistics are well arranged.
Ensure that Trustee's allowances are paid after the meeting.
Preparation of monthly performance Report.
Technical And Behavioural Attributes / Core Competencies
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Proactive approach to duties.
Ability to provide alternative solutions.
Ability to stay abreast of legal, Governance, regulatory, and pension related developments in the law
Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail.
Qualifications and Experience
Business Administration, Pensions and Insurance, Public Relations, or 1st Degree in Bachelor of Law (LLB)
Full Grade 12 Certificate
1-2 years' experience in any related field Experience in board secretariat, management
Strong legal and analytical skills
