About this role

Providence is calling for Registered Nurse (RN) in Seward, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

Hours: Full Time (36 Hours Weekly), Temporary, Variable Shift

The Primary Care Nurse is in charge of the resident care for a specific group of residents, to include, supervision of team members including Shahbazim. Nursing services delivered by the Shahbazim are supervised by and directly accountable to the director of nursing (DNS) through the licensed nurses in the homes.  The Primary Care Nurse coordinates referrals to other members of the clinical support team, families and physicians.  The Primary Care Nurse serves as the point of contact for elder information.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months of Nursing experience in a health care facility (acute care, long term care, rehabilitation center).
  • Supervision/leadership experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
