Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist at ProFinda

We are now looking for a dedicated individual to join our Operations Team as a L&D Specialist.  This newly created role marks an exciting evolution in our L&D strategy and the successful candidate will be instrumental to driving forward the reach and quality of our L&D offering to our customers and internal teams.

In this position you will:

• Develop high-quality training materials to drive the adoption of new and existing features and ensure customers get maximum value from our platform and our internal teams are well educated. This will include building online courses, user guides and recording video tutorials.
• Work with the Head of Operations to refine and execute our L&D strategy, centred around life-long learning, including the creation of structured learning journeys to maximise internal knowledge of our products.
• Maintain all aspects of our LMS platform in line with our L&D strategy, including the development of training courses, plan the scheduling of new content to maximise engagement and verify existing courses to keep them up to date and relevant.
• Collaborate with HODs and Team Leads to curate a library of professional development and soft-skill learning courses using our existing LMS-provided content and external sources.
• Utilise feedback from our customers and data from our LMS to track effectiveness of training material and identify areas of improvements to boost engagement.
• Take ownership of assigned initiatives, overseeing them from launch to completion, ensuring quality through user testing, proofreading, and maintaining brand voice consistency.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with HODs and teams across the business to identify gaps in training material or opportunities to increase engagement.
• Work with both the Head of Operations to ensure production deadlines are met against the L&D Strategy.

What you need to be successful in the role:

The successful candidate will also have a strong foundation in Learning and Development practices, with experience in designing and delivering learning across a range of methods. You will have a solid understanding of Learning principles and be comfortable working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) to design, organise and track Learning solutions, and corroborate with diverse, global teams. 

Additionally, the candidate will have a natural curiosity for emerging Learning technologies and trends, and a passion for continuous improvement.  As a life-long learner, you are always seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge and bring fresh ideas to the table, ensuring that our programmes remain innovative and effective.

• Can demonstrate the ability to work across all aspects of the learning cycle (e.g. needs analysis, design & development, delivery, assessment & evaluation)
• Have experience in working with digital content creation and learning management tools, such as a LMS and documentation management sites.
  • Although not vital, experience working with Notion and HowNow would be beneficial.
• Have experience utilising different learning methodologies and technologies – and an ability to select the most appropriate solution
• Has experience and understanding in utilising AI to support the creation, delivery and improvement of learning material and training and has a passion to continue experimenting as technologies develop.
• Have the ability to work with various functional teams and stakeholders, including geographically dispersed colleagues.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset that thrives in managing multiple tasks and delivering quality.
• Although not vital, ideally have a recognised qualification in Adult Education or Workplace Training
