Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the HR department, implementing HR policies and strategies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This position focuses on building a positive work environment, enhancing employee satisfaction, and contributing to the organization’s success through effective people management practices.


Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and managing conflict resolution.
  • Act as a mediator in employee disputes and work to resolve issues in a fair, respectful manner.
  • Implement strategies to improve employee morale, engagement, and retention.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including annual reviews, feedback sessions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide guidance to managers on best practices for evaluating and developing their teams.
  • Work with employees and managers to set clear performance objectives.
  • Ensure the company’s HR policies are up-to-date and compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Create, communicate, and enforce company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Implement employee compensation structures, including salary benchmarking and benefits administration.
  • Collaborate with payroll and benefits administrators to ensure timely and accurate benefits delivery.
  • Manages benefits enrollment, billings, partnerships and open enrollment
  • Oversees bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including performance data, training logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare reports for Leadership, highlighting HR activities, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Identify HR trends and make recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive change management initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and build effective relationships. 
  • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., Workday, ADP, or similar).
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
