About the Role:

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and strategic Banking, Treasury, & Platform Services Strategist to act as the critical link between our Enterprise function and Sales teams. This role requires a deep understanding of banking operations, treasury services, risk management, compliance frameworks, and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will support sales efforts by providing subject matter expertise in pre-sales scenarios, identifying gaps, preparing sales reps with the right questions to ask prospects, and ensuring opportunities are qualified with the appropriate depth of knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Sales Enablement & Support

  • Serve as the go-to advisor for Sales on all banking and treasury-related inquiries during the presales process.

  • As a subject matter expert, your expertise helps Sales convert leads by providing commercial insight, building credibility with potential customers.

  • Participate in internal deal strategy calls to assess client needs and align internal understanding of complex treasury/banking solutions.

  • Equip Sales with tailored discovery questions to uncover deeper client requirements and risks.

  • Translate technical and regulatory requirements into actionable insights for Sales.

  • Help generate content and provide insights to support broader marketing initiatives.

Enterprise Liaison

  • Act as a conduit between Sales and Enterprise (Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Marketing) to ensure alignment in solutions offered.

  • Ensure sales opportunities meet internal risk, compliance, and technical viability thresholds before advancing.

  • Flag potential deal blockers early and guide Sales on how to navigate complex regulatory or technical landscapes.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Maintain deep expertise in areas such as cash management, payments, liquidity, bank connectivity, KYC/AML, sanctions, and treasury management systems (TMS).

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging risks, and changes in the regulatory environment that affect banking and treasury products.

Pre-qualification & Deal Vetting

  • Review opportunities prior to Enterprise team engagement to assess technical and regulatory fit.

  • Develop and maintain checklists, playbooks, and qualification frameworks for Sales to use during client discovery.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Conduct regular training sessions and briefings for Sales teams on banking/treasury topics, new products, or compliance updates.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, including FAQs, discovery guides, and solution maps.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Sales teams consistently rely on your guidance to navigate complex banking and treasury solutions, resulting in more effective client discovery and higher-quality opportunities entering the pipeline.

  • Communicates and shares information in a way that fosters meaningful, two-way conversations.

  • Efficiently identifies and addresses the core challenges preventing process optimization, while providing consultation on the most effective and tailored path forward.

  • Enterprise stakeholders report smoother engagements with Sales due to well-vetted and appropriately qualified opportunities.

  • Risk, Compliance, and Technical teams experience fewer late-stage surprises or blockers, thanks to your proactive prequalification processes.

  • You are recognized as a go-to expert on banking and treasury matters—trusted for your ability to bridge business needs with technical and regulatory realities.

  • Internal knowledge resources (e.g., playbooks, discovery guides, checklists) are regularly updated and leveraged across Sales and Enterprise teams.

  • Your contributions directly lead to increased deal velocity, reduced rework, and improved client onboarding readiness.

  • New hires and existing Sales team members benefit from your regular training sessions, resulting in higher confidence and competency in early-stage client conversations.

  • You are seen as a strategic partner—not just a process facilitator—who helps shape the go-to-market strategy through insights and alignment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 10 - 20%

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred).

  • Familiarity with technical frameworks such as API integrations, file formats (ISO 20022, SWIFT), and TMS platforms.

  • Experience working in or supporting a Sales or client-facing environment is a strong plus.
