Lead the team with identification and resolution of issues associated with client data, trade breaks, reconciliation breaks. Proficient in Cash Reconciliation, Position Reconciliation, identifying cash balance discrepancies, booking of transactions in Accounting application, understanding of aged breaks, escalating breaks for timely resolution, good command on verbal & written communication skills, strong hands-on expertise of excel on pivot table, VLOOKUP and shortcuts. Prepare reports and maintain controls in alignment with internal policies and client’s needs. Interface with internal and external teams including senior operations staff, IT team, Trade Support, custodians, portfolio managers to obtain information and resolve problems. Troubleshoot queries of team members, perform review related activities, maintain error log, discuss errors with team, identify process pain areas, create training plans and conducts training sessions. Ensure deliverables are met as per deadline. Work with team to follow up on pending tasks and ensure timely completion. Identify risk areas and take counter measures.
Understands the critical nature of business and acts with urgency to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Further strengthen relationships with internal and external personnel including senior operations members, IT team, custodians and/or industry contacts to educate, seek direction, obtain information and resolve problems. Ensure accurate and timely completion of accounts, appropriate research on breaks along with a detailed understanding of inputs, dependencies, and data flow.
Develop understanding of Principal Global Investors' products, team procedures, and clients' needs through self-initiated research, participation in available training programs and involvement in on-going investment activities
Maintain and expand upon comprehensive understanding of Principal Global Investors products, team procedures, client needs, financial markets and more granular security and asset class data and sensitivities through self-initiated research, participation in available training programs. With knowledge, proactively employ better, more efficient ways to resolve breaks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business required, should possess 7 to 9 years' work experience in investment/mutual fund operations or related field. Good understanding of Capital Markets and Investments banking required. |
Analytical & problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills required. |
