Are you an iJAG graduate or an iJAG student currently in your senior year? Does the thought of taking advantage of an outstanding learning and development opportunity at Principal sound appealing to you? If so, look no further. This learning and development opportunity is geared specifically for current iJAG students and iJAG graduates. It will allow you the ability to get a head start on your career after high school.

 

Starting your career on the right track is important. That’s why we offer a hands-on robust immersion program prepping you for potential next steps of fulltime opportunities. iJAG participants will attend weekly development workshops onsite at our corporate headquarters in downtown Des Moines, IA.

 

Here are just some of the opportunities you can expect:

  • Participate in development workshops, learning and developing job obtainment skills to better position yourself for fulltime employment opportunities.
  • Workshops will entail both individual online and activity-based learning.
  • Build a formal professional resume in preparation for applying for fulltime jobs.
  • Develop and hone your interviewing skills.
  • Learn more about entry-level positions and what may align with your skills and interests.
  • Network with Principal leaders and employees.

As a participant in the immersion program, you'll have the opportunity to learn and develop as you begin your career! This position will focus on Principal business sense, building your resume, and refining your interview skills.

 

This program is an excellent way to help prepare you for your career. 


Who You Are



  • Current participant of the iJAG program or iJAG graduate.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities in school or within the community preferred.
  • Ability to learn and understand insurance and financial products.
  • Great teammate and able to work well with others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.
  • Ability to learn Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software packages.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Salary Range Information



Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Location & Work Environments

This role will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters located in Des Moines, IA and will require you to work on-site.

Hours

This is a 4-week program, running from March 31st to April 23rd. Workshops are being held every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30pm - 7:00pm CST.
