What we’re looking for

We’re looking for passionate team players to bring joy to our customers every day. As a Retail Technology Analyst (BOH) you’ll will work as part of the Retail Technology Team to execute Pret’s Back of House Technology configuration strategy, working alongside Pret’s Retail Technology Team to deliver support and ensure Pret has up to date and efficiently configured systems. This is a hands-on system management role responsible for maintaining all aspects of Pret’s Back of House technology stack within all of Pret’s and our relevant franchise partners’ shops.  

Reporting to the Retail Technology Analyst (BOH), the role will be responsible for the supporting execution and ongoing management of core back of house technology systems including but not limited to -  cash management, inventory and forecasting, labour management, food production, recipe management and reporting, ensuring our shop teams have the most efficient and robust solutions possible to support their operations. 

This role will also be required to provide support and resolve tickets requesting help on all front of house technology related issues in a timely manner.  

 

Key responsibilities

  • Supports Pret shops, teams and franchise partners to manage and deliver changes to our Back of House systems functionality 
  • Works closely with Technology, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance teams to make changes to core back of house technology solutions
  • Manages changes in a controlled and safe manner to ensure shop operations are not disrupted 
  • Provides testing and development for Back of House system changes and technologies 

Experience and Skills required

  • An expert Back of House systems technician who is able to work across multiple platforms to configure and manage changes to our technologies 
  • Experience supporting a Back of House technology stack in a multisite, franchised organisation 
  • A strong technology specialist with experience in typical restaurant and QSR systems including but not limited to Cash Management, Inventory & Forecasting, Food Production, Recipe Management and labour scheduling.
  • Experience of Symphony, StarKIS, Fourth and Hamilton-Grant recipe Management or similar platforms would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Passionate about staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with, and learning new technologies. 
  • A sought out, innovative technician sought out for the ability to solve problems and deliver reliable support 
  • Experience in executing technology strategies, testing products and supporting retail technology eco-systems 
  • An excellent communicator with good spoken and written English language skills. 
  • Exposure to both ITSM and agile ways of working

  • Annual salary up to £40,000
  • Target bonus 10% of annual salary, dependant on business and department performance

The interview journey

Every interview process at Pret begins with the same two stages. First, you’ll have a relaxed 30-minute conversation with our recruitment team so we can get to know you and your experience. Next, you’ll be invited to a one-hour, in-person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria.

Depending on the role and function, there may be additional stages. These could include time spent in one of our shops, completing a task, or meeting a senior leader.
