Responsibilities:

The Lactation Educator (RN) provides clinical nursing expertise in areas of care practice, consultation, interdisciplinary collaboration and specialty program development for a defined patient population.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire

  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required 

  • Certified Lactation Counselor or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

  • Register with the NM Board of Nursing � Lactation Care Providers.

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
