About this role

The Director of Revenue Cycle provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all revenue cycle functions within the Premier Physician Network, including coding, billing, collections, customer service, refunds, coding audit and compliance, and payer credentialing.

This role is responsible for directing revenue cycle operations to ensure optimal financial performance, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The Director oversees staff, systems, and workflows supporting billing, collections, cash posting, payer enrollment, and accounts receivable reporting. Key objectives include achieving best-practice performance in AR days, cash collections, and AR aging, while ensuring the consistent and compliant application of billing policies and procedures.

The Director remains current on all federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations and is accountable for timely implementation, education, and enforcement of regulatory changes. This role ensures staff are appropriately trained and supported to operate effectively in a highly regulated and technology-driven environment. In addition, the Director identifies internal control gaps, reimbursement improvement opportunities, and process enhancements to improve productivity, accuracy, and financial outcomes across the revenue cycle.

The Director also provides strategic oversight and governance of outsourced revenue cycle vendor relationships, including Emergency Medicine and Anesthesia services, to ensure contractual compliance, regulatory adherence, and optimal financial performance.

Strong collaboration with physicians and clinical leadership is essential to advance compliant coding practices, optimize reimbursement, and support provider engagement. The Director serves as a key liaison between operational teams, providers, and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven leadership experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. This individual must be capable of analyzing complex issues, developing actionable recommendations, and presenting findings effectively to diverse audiences, including senior executives. The Director is expected to drive accountability, foster high performance, and align revenue cycle operations with organizational goals, values, and patient and employee satisfaction priorities
