Job Title: Shipping Receiving Clerk

Department: Warehouse

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

This individual will be responsible for shipping and receiving of all goods into the facility and keeping the Shipping and Receiving department maintained by properly organizing and facilitating the movement of product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• · Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures
• · Preparing outgoing shipments by crating and securing product.
• · Ability to use battery operated hand tools.
• · Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unloading trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed.
• · Maintain a clean and organized working environment daily to ensure product can be located easily and efficiently.
• · Maintains essential supplies for shipments.
• · Coordinate organization of the work area.
• · Perform daily checks of inventory levels in work cells as needed to provide information for any necessary adjustments.
• · Coordinate scrap material storage as needed.
• · Communicate discrepancies to Shipping Lead.
• · Coordinate storage locations.
• · Must be able to move scrap into the open top dumpster.
• · Receive materials/inventory systematically in computer system to prepare for put away.
• · Keep work areas clean following guidelines.
• · Must be forklift trained and certified. After hired on to Pregis
• · Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• · The willingness to learn and take directions confidently.
• · Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.
• · Forklift experience preferred.
• · Basic mathematic functions required
• · High School Diploma or equivalent.
