Senior Operator – Pilot Production (Cold Chain)

This is a rare opportunity to join a BRANDāNEW pilot production site focused on Cold Chain innovation. As a Senior Operator, you won’t just run equipment — you’ll help shape the processes, standards, and future of production from day one.
You’ll work in an engineeringādriven, pilot environment, collaborating closely with leadership, process development, and production teams to test, improve, and scale new technology. If you thrive in fastāpaced, problemāsolving environments and want your ideas to matter, this is the role for you.
ā What You’ll Do
- Lead production crews and operate pilotālevel converting and inline finishing equipment
- Set up, run, troubleshoot, and optimize production lines to meet quality, waste, and productivity standards
- Operate and adjust ancillary and inline equipment (labeling, gluing, applicators, rotary cutters, etc.)
- Perform minor mechanical repairs, webbing, tension adjustments, and equipment changeovers
- Partner with engineering and site leadership to identify improvements and influence new processes
- Train and mentor operators, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- Ensure accurate tracking of production data, materials, and line counts
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
- Support a collaborative pilotāsite culture where ideas are encouraged and tested
š§ What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5–7 years of handsāon experience operating converting or inline finishing equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in manufacturing, converting, packaging, or pilot/engineering environments
- Proven ability to lead crews and work independently with minimal supervision
- Continuousāimprovement mindset — you enjoy solving problems and making things better
- Ability to work safely in fastāmoving production environments
š Work Environment
- Pilot manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment
- Heat, humidity, and noise typical of production settings
- Standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, and operating machinery
- PPE required

Compensation:
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’s total compensation package. The hourly base pay range for this role is estimated to be $32 to $36.
