Job Title: Jenner Jahn Machine Operator
Reports To:- Production Supervisor
Shift: 3pm-1am
This Opportunity will train at our Elgin Facility for a few weeks before moving to Aurora
Position Summary:
The Jenner Jahn Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Jenner Jahn equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role also supports training and mentoring of new operators as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Jenner Jahn machinery safely and efficiently
- Monitor machine performance, product quality, and production output
- Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and basic maintenance
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues and escalate as needed
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Ensure compliance with all safety and company policies
- Assist in training and mentoring new operators
- Communicate production issues, material needs, and downtime to leadership
Qualifications:
- Experience operating Jenner Jahn or similar machinery preferred
- Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’s total compensation package. The hourly base pay range for this role is estimated to be $22-$25 per hour
