Assistant Operator (Operator I)
đź“Ť Location: Arlington, TX
đź•’ Schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts, overtime as needed)
Join Pregis and help us protect what matters! We’re looking for a motivated Operator I (Assistant Operator) to support our production team in delivering high-quality packaging solutions. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to grow your technical and leadership skills, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and set up full converting lines and finishing equipment to meet quality and productivity standards.
- Ensure jobs run smoothly by reading job tickets, verifying components, and resolving issues quickly.
- Perform minor mechanical adjustments and maintain accurate job counts.
- Train team members when needed and promote a positive, safety-first culture.
- Keep work areas clean and organized according to Pregis SOPs.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5–7 years in a manufacturing or converting environment (or equivalent education/experience).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong technical skills with press controls, splicer, gluer, label applicators, and tension systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in warm, humid conditions.
- A team player who communicates respectfully and adapts to a continuous improvement culture.
