The Cath Lab RN assists physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and other invasive cardiac procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with regulatory standards.<br><br> </div><div> <strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures</li> <li>Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures</li> <li>Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and vital signs throughout procedures</li> <li>Administer medications, including conscious sedation, per physician orders</li> <li>Maintain sterile technique and assist with catheter insertion and equipment setup</li> <li>Operate and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment and monitoring systems</li> <li>Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure and provide appropriate nursing care</li> <li>Manage post-procedure recovery, including sheath removal and hemostasis</li> <li>Recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies and complications</li> <li>Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and post-care instructions</li> <li>Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record</li> <li>Participate in on-call rotation as required</li> <li>Ensure compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards<br><br> </li> </ul><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><div><br></div><ul> <li>Active <strong>Registered Nurse (RN)</strong> license in the state of practice</li> <li>Minimum <strong>1–2 years of Cath Lab, ICU, or Critical Care experience</strong> (preferred)<br><strong>BLS and ACLS</strong> certification required</li> <li>Conscious sedation competency preferred</li> <li>Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics<br><br> </li> </ul><div><em>Precision Scans is an equal opportunity employer, committed to cultural diversity.
