Precision Plumbing is a trusted leader in commercial plumbing solutions, committed to delivering quality and excellence in every project. We are seeking a skilled Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team and play a key role in our pre-construction and estimating operations.
Position Summary:
The Commercial Plumbing Estimator will work closely with the Senior Director of Estimating and Client Services of Precision Plumbing to determine which projects to bid, prepare accurate proposals, and develop comprehensive job packages detailing all costs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with VP of Pre-Construction/Estimating to select jobs for bidding.
- Prepare and submit bids in accordance with company policies.
- Develop detailed job packages including labor, material, subcontractor, equipment rental, and overhead costs.
- Ensure proper bid documentation and bonding requirements are met.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, potential clients, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and self-motivation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and industry software (Blue Beam, Trimble MEP AutoBid).
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial plumbing estimating experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Strong math skills for calculations involving fractions, decimals, and proportions.
- Knowledge of job site safety requirements; ability to conduct pre-bid walkthroughs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
