Position Summary:

The Lead Operations Research Engineer will be a member of the Digital Americas organization. Digital Americas is a multi-disciplinary technical team comprised of data scientists, software engineers and operations research experts. The team serves Linde’s business units and is tasked with creating analytics and decision support software solutions for complex problems.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand product requirements and define appropriate technical solutions.
  • Lead technical development of cutting-edge analytics and decision support tools.
  • Stay abreast of new technology and actively contribute ideas for new programs.
  • Balance development of new solutions with replication and support of existing tools.


Basic Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or Operations Research.
  • 10+ years of relevant, full-time professional experience.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of data science and operations research principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise solving real-world problems leveraging data science and operations research.
  • Proven ability to develop robust, scalable solutions using Python.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%25, domestic and international.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or Operations Research.

  • Ability to develop, implement, and support complex data science pipelines.
  • Experience developing REST APIs to support production level web and mobile applications.
  • Experience developing/optimizing complex SQL queries and designing relational databases.
  • Exposure to modern front-end frameworks, preferably Vue.js.
  • Experience building and deploying solutions using cloud infrastructure.

Salary: 

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $106,575 - $156,310.
