Maintenance Lead – 1st Shift

Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday 6:00AM – 2:00PM

Starting Pay Rate: $27.00/Hr. 

 

As a Maintenance Lead at Pratt Industries – Cedar Hill you will play a crucial role in maintaining all converting equipment to minimize downtime and ensure peak performance. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting machinery, performing repairs, training other maintenance team members, and maximizing equipment efficiency. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and operational excellence are top priorities.

Key Duties and Success Factors:

  • Safety & Compliance: Follow and enforce all safety procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all machines operate at optimal capacity to produce high-quality products.
  • Operational Efficiency: Perform equipment setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other maintenance classifications according to their abilities and limitations.
  • Training & Development: Teach and mentor maintenance team members in best practices and equipment handling.
  • Reporting & Maintenance: Maintain accurate records, complete necessary paperwork, and track equipment performance to ensure repairs and work are performed properly.
  • Flexibility & Teamwork: Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • Experience: Previous experience in equipment maintenance; prior work in the corrugated industry preferred.
  • Basic Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and repair A/C and D/C drives, programmable controllers, and mechanical systems.
  • Skills: Proficiency in maintenance software, ability to read factory masters, and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally; frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Certifications: May require a Lift Truck Operator License or other relevant certifications.
