We are looking for an ambitious, career-minded college student to join our Mill Accounting Department in Wapakoneta. This full-time summer internship offers an immersive, hands-on experience within a fast-paced industrial environment. You will bridge the gap between classroom theory and the financial realities of a massive manufacturing operation.
Financial Operations: Support the Mill Accounting team with daily financial tasks, month-end reporting, and account reconciliations.
Data & Analysis: Assist in tracking production costs and analyzing financial data within specialized manufacturing ERP software.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand the intersection of paper production, recycling logistics, and finance.
Process Improvement: Assist in identifying efficiencies within the accounting workflow to support the mill’s high-output operations.
Other: Miscellaneous tasks that support the function and operations of the Accounting team as requested.
Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program majoring in Accounting. Completion of Cost Accounting coursework is required.
Technical Aptitude: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Eager to learn complex accounting and production software.
Future-Ready Skills: Openness to learning and utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI); we will provide training on how to leverage AI tools to enhance accounting workflows and data efficiency.
Reliability: Ability to commute daily to the Wapakoneta, OH facility during business hours.
Soft Skills: A "teachable" mindset, high attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally in an office and industrial setting.
Previous internship or project work involving financial analysis.
An interest in the manufacturing or recycling industries.
