Job Summary:   Production Worker

As a Production worker you will have several opportunities to work in different areas of the plant to operate equipment. If you like to work in a fast-paced environment and have attention to detail and enjoy being part of a team this might be the perfect job for you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line 
  • Perform cleanings during set down times and product changeovers
  • Load/unload stacks and moves items as assigned
  • Sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled units
  • Mark or place identifying labels on product loads, ensuring that all finished products are coded properly
  • Record movement of stock in and out of work areas
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties  
  • Monitor materials, products and equipment at each step of the process and reports irregularities to supervisor
  • Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict efficiency
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately  
  • Other duties assigned or required

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and forklifts. 
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet / humid / cold conditions (non-weather).
  • The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and sit.
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
