The Technical and Engineering Director is responsible for all engineering/technical aspects of the Company's operations, inclusive of value engineering opportunities, construction and overall methodology, method statements, engineering design drawings, shop drawings and material submittals and follow up approval. The position also creates and implements best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
Define and communicate the technical vision and strategy to support the company’s long-term goals.
Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Oversee all engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
Ensure technical excellence and high standards in all engineering activities, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other departments, such as product development, sales, and operations, to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
Drive innovation and oversee research and development initiatives to keep the company at the forefront of technology.
Allocate resources efficiently, balancing project demands with available personnel and budget.
Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop and manage the engineering department’s budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
Strong practical experience with ability to prepare detailed method statement. Advanced Knowledge in
engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures. Excellent knowledge of material engineering
properties and local/global availability of materials. Excellent technical skills and ability to organize and oversee
preparation of technical drawings. Knowledge of Project Management.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
