Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.

Eldora strives to deliver Colorado’s Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors.   Eldora Mountain Resort employs up to 700 employees at peak season and has 680 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, including a Woodward Mountain Park experience, and a world class Nordic Center.

This position is a leadership role where the main objective is to hold a standard for all other employees in (but not limited to) the following categories: daily operations, initiative, customer service and staff training.

There are responsibilities which entail organizational and inventory activities. It is important that this person adheres to and represents Eldora policies and procedures. Over all the Lead ensures a smooth and successful operation of all retail locations. The expectation is to assist the manager or supervisors with maintaining daily operations by ensuring that all procedures and policies are completed. It is essential to be able to prioritize customer service, staff and tasks. Executing effective communication and demonstrating actions which match intentions is key to carrying through with successful leadership with in this position. It is expected of the lead to be proficient in all product offerings throughout the departments. This will help provide a consistent message to staff and employees. It is expected that the person in the position embodies the term “lead by example.”

Job Duties and Expectations:

  • Engages in activity with all Eldora guests
  • Provides support to rental and retail staff with customer service issues
  • Training and updating cashiers on products, policies, and procedures
  • Assists Rental/Retail Supervisors/Managers with opening/closing procedures
  • Completes monthly inventory stock take
  • Provides accurate product and mountain information to guests
  • Upholds a high level of professionalism and handles situations with calm a temperament
  • Promote all Eldora product policies and procedures
  • Helps facilitate action plans for safety, marketing and training throughout the departments
  • Arrives to work on-time and follows schedule
  • Adheres to all grooming guidelines
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

This position is not limited to the duties listed and is subject to change with growth of the Powdr/Eldora acquisition.

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $20+, depending on experience.

Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts.  Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
