JOB SUMMARY
The Pro Shop Associate is responsible for operating our merchandise locations, creating a welcoming environment for campers, parents, staff, and guests. This position requires the ability to work on sport equipment such as BMX bikes, mountain bikes, scooters, and skateboards. Retail operations include our Custom Station and Equipment Rental program. This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced and fun environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Offer an exceptional level of customer service. Retail employees are responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting them in finding products.
Have extensive product knowledge and ability to make appropriate suggestions to guests. Ability to apply sales techniques and implement sales strategies.
Skilled with knowledge of action sports equipment and repairs. Work on and/or fix campers and guests bikes, skateboards and scooters to ensure their ability to continue riding and enjoying all camp parks/facilities.
Work with campers to educate and mentor them about their sport and equipment maintenance.
Custom Station and Rental Programs – Operate our Equipment Rental program. Work with campers and guests to be fitted with the correct rental equipment. Maintain the rental fleet - manage equipment inventory, facilitate safety inspections, track repairs, etc.. We offer BMX bikes, mountain bikes, scooters, skateboards and safety equipment. Also work with campers to create custom keepsakes with our Custom Station program.
Regularly restock shelves and monitor inventory levels to ensure that products are available for customers.
Ensuring closing and opening procedures are complete. Cleaning the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing. This includes setting up product displays, ensuring visual merchandising standards are met, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.
Ensure strong execution of visual directives as provided as well as pro-active changes as informed by traffic flow and/or operational pivots mid-season.
Ability to use tools provided in the shop to assist in fixing equipment (air compressor, chain braker, drill, etc.)
Ability to utilize a POS system and software.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Fill in to provide support and coverage for other retail areas, as needed.
Carry out safety protocols & processes ensuring safety of all campers, guests and staff.
Carry out the Woodward Guest Services standards – Be Safe, Be Friendly, Be Helpful, Be Proud.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
1+ Years Equipment Repair Experience (BMX Bike, MTB Bike, Scooter, Skate, Roller Skate)
Customer Service Experience
Knowledge of retail operations
Knowledge of action sports hard goods
Knowledge of merchandising techniques
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, comfortable presenting and deploying new technologies
Provide work related references upon request
Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ Years Bike Repair Experience
High school degree or equivalent preferred
Experience working in a camp environment preferred

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.
Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.
