If you’re passionate about mountain safety and love being at the center of the action, this is your chance to play a vital role in our guests’ journey. As a Winter Lift Operator at Woodward Park City, you’ll help deliver smooth and safe lift operations while ensuring every rider—whether it’s their first time on skis or their hundredth lap—is supported with care, attention, and a friendly face. Reporting to the Lift Operations Supervisor, you’ll be the point of contact for guests at the lift, offering guidance, encouragement, and quick thinking to keep the flow moving and the experience exceptional.

Responsibilities:

Safety First!

• Operate chairlifts and surface lifts following ANSI standards and in compliance with training protocols
• Monitor and maintain a safe work environment around loading and unloading zones
• Stay alert and ready to always assist guests

Guest Experience:

• Deliver outstanding customer service with clear communication, warm energy, and a focus on guest comfort
• Assist guests with loading and unloading, helping those unfamiliar with the process feel confident and secure
• Keep the approach zones organized and flowing smoothly during busy times

Team Collaboration:

• Communicate clearly and professionally with other departments and team members.
• Bring a team-first attitude to daily tasks and guest interactions
• Adaptability
• Embracing changing mountain conditions and adapting to new challenges as they come
• Be proactive and self-directed—whether problem-solving on the fly or stepping in to help teammates

Maintenance Duties:

• Support lift cleanliness, snow removal, and upkeep of equipment and loading areas
• Coordinate with Lift Maintenance to flag and address any component issues promptly

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Comfortable working outdoors for long periods in all weather conditions
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform labor-intensive tasks
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with guests of all ages
• Must be dependable and punctual
• A genuine enjoyment of working with people, especially children and first-time skiers
• Skiing or riding ability is preferred, but not required.
