Job Summary: The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.      Duties/Responsibilities: Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks) Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times Package materials and products manually Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of brand name/generic medications Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Able to work at a moderate speed. Able to work during inclement weather. Reliable Detail-focused with analytical problem-solving skills Able to physically perform light lifting. Must be able to work various shifts and day   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent required Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice. Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)   PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk May be necessary to work extended hours as needed May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role   HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days. Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses. Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.
