As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will serve as the initial point of contact between our company and potential clients. Your primary responsibility will be to generate and qualify leads, laying the foundation for our sales pipeline. This role is pivotal in driving business growth and requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities, developing market knowledge, and supporting the wider sales cycle.

Key Objectives and Desired Outcomes
  • Lead Generation: Consistently generate a minimum of 100 qualified leads per month through various outreach methods, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other external sources. Compile lists of prospective clients and identify new business opportunities. 
  • Outbound Engagement: Proactively contact key personas within Plexus’ ICP and defined territories using high-velocity outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn). Build relationships and promote Plexus’ solutions by aligning them with client needs. 
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule a minimum of 20 qualified meetings per month with potential clients for the sales team. 
  • Client Needs Assessment: Conduct discovery conversations to understand client pain points and explain how Plexus’ legal technology can meet their requirements, before handing opportunities to Account Executives. 
  • Market Awareness: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Plexus solutions, competitor offerings, and broader market conditions in order to tailor outreach and provide insights back to the sales team. 
  • Support to Sales Cycle: Provide background and qualification information to support Account Executives in pricing, negotiation, and contracting discussions. 
  • Onboarding Coordination: Work with internal teams to ensure the smooth transition of qualified opportunities and support initial onboarding activities as required. 
  • Follow-Up: Conduct early follow-ups with prospects to confirm satisfaction with initial interactions and keep opportunities warm until handover. 
  • Reporting & CRM: Maintain 100% accuracy in Salesforce records. Prepare regular activity reports and track business expenses in line with sales management requirements. 
  • Conversion Rate: Achieve a lead-to-opportunity conversion rate of 15% or higher, and discovery-to-opportunity rate of 80%.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills to engage and persuade senior legal and business leaders.  
  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and persistently pursue opportunities.  
  • Analytical Thinking: Use CRM data and market intelligence to identify trends, track conversion rates, and refine outreach strategies.  
  • Time Management: Prioritise tasks to consistently achieve lead generation, meeting booking, and reporting targets.  
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in CRM systems and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, AirCall, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).  
  • Market Knowledge: Continuously develop knowledge of the legal tech industry, customer needs, and competitor products to position Plexus effectively.  


Skills
  • Experience: 1–2 years in a sales or customer service role, preferably within SaaS or professional services.  
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or related field.  
  • Mindset: Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow.  
  • Cultural Fit: Aligns with Plexus’ values and thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
