Purpose Statement:  The Costing Documentation Specialist Staff is responsible for the analysis, creation, and manipulation of customer documentation necessary for the Costing process. May collect, organization, and input cost data, as well as assist in maintaining accurate records.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Create clear and concise communication to the Costing Team, Business Development, Customer Management and operations with regards to documentation gaps.
• Responsible for the analysis, creation, and standardization of customer documentation necessary for the Costing process.
• Interpret customer technical documentation and understand Plexus manufacturing capabilities in order to make intelligent make or purchase decisions.
• Transform customer strategy and documentation into appropriate structure and inputs for the cost estimation and tools system.
   
• Provide mentoring and guidance to lower level technical staff.
  Assist in driving standardization and continuous improvement to tools/processes for assigned area.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Technical or Science Degree / Professional Certification in related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in EMS industry or related experience in technical documentation is required

• Prioritize multiple tasks, meets deadlines and communicates shortcomings to management.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of product related BOM structure
• Able to read and understand technical drawings

Physical Requirements:  

• Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
