Utility Pole Surveyor (Entry-Level / Field Technician)

We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our OSP team conducting surveys of utility poles to help expand our fiber network. This role involves outdoor work, data collection, and collaboration with utility companies.

-Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments
-Record measurement and tag information in the field
-Identify existing attachments and attend survey walks with pole owners
-Review and annotate data in the office when needed

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts
Work Location: Northern and Central Jersey
Pay: Starts at $18.00/hour

Requirements:

-Valid driver's license and safe driving record
-Available Monday-Friday, during the day, potential weekend work as needed
-Ability to work safely in the road, and in wooded areas
-Comfortable standing 8-10 hours per day, walking 1-2 miles per day, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the day, in all types of weather conditions.
-No previous surveying experience necessary - will train
